"It's just a photo in a book...that I am glad that someone took..."

Picture of Nanny and Papa Mathis when they were young (my mom's parents)

My brother has a song that he wrote entitled "It Goes By too Fast" - and as I am writing this blog I am thinking about all the times in life that we don't stop and realize how wonderful LIFE is...

Each day we are making memories...and someday we will look back and think how great these days are.

Rodney says it really well... "It's just a photo in a book...that I am glad that someone took"

Here are some photos that I am thankful for...

Tomatillo Salsa!!!

Well, our garden is really doing great!!!  We have tomatoes, tomatillos, serrano peppers, ornamental peppers, jalapenos, etc. etc. etc.  I also just picked some fresh squash...yum yum!

We decided to make some homemade salsa today...

We started out by slow roasting some tomatoes, peppers, tomatillos, garlic and onion...
425 Degree oven for about 20-30 minutes....

After the tomatoes have a nice charred edge...place all the ingredients into a food processor and pulse!  Season to taste!!!  How easy and very yummy!
Where is the margarita???

Rodney's CD Release Party!!!

What a cool place to have an intimate show...Oma Gruene's Secret Garden!  The listening room that is down in a basement is a cool location to listen to music...and Rodney played a great show!

The new CD is really good!!!!  I love the songs...and the singer!

I like the sign behind him...
